2 Sisters Charged For Stabbing Security Guard 27 Times After He Told Them To Wear A Mask


Jessica and Jayla, the two sisters, were asked to put on their mask and use the provided sanitizer before entering the shoe store.

The sisters furiously refused to do so and instead attacked the guard. The store management asked the sisters to leave, but they first got into a verbal altercation and then threw a trash can on the man’s face.

Jessica,21, stabbed the guard multiple times, and her 18 years sister pulled the guard’s hair and punched him.  The weapon used in the crime was a comb that had a hidden blade in it.

Despite severe wounds, the 32-years-old guard succeeded in holding both the sisters till the police arrived. According to  Karie James, a police spokeswoman, “The victim is hospitalized in Mount  Sinai Hospital and is in critical condition. Both the sisters got minor lacerations and got treatment in a nearby hospital.”

Both the sisters get arrested at the crime scene at around 6:15 pm. According to Judge Mary’s orders, they got charged for first-degree murder and should be held without bail. At the bond hearing on Tuesday, the defense attorney said that Jessica and Jayla have bipolar disorder, and what they did was for the sake of self-defense.

She further argued that the sisters have no criminal record and didn’t intend to commit a crime. However, the judge said the sheer number of stabs is of ‘concern.’ The next hearing will be held on Nov, 4 according to the Sun-Times.

After the spike in cases of covid-19, re-tightening of covid measures and some revised orders were given for business openings on October 23.

The shops and other businesses were restricted to open between 10 pm-6 am.  The citizens were asked to follow SOPs and avoid public gathering strictly.
