Parents Come Up In Defense Of The Sorority Sisters Who Contracted COVID-19 From Their Mexico Trip


Lots of people have been warned against mingling with each other and flying to foreign countries for any purpose because of the fear of transmission.

Some people took these warnings seriously while others took no note of it.

Recently a group of students studying at University of Texas Austin did what they should have avoided. In their rebellious youth, they turned a blind eye to all the warnings and went on a spring break trip to Mexico. On their way home, some of them brought back the virus.

211 students had travelled to Mexico, and 53 of them are now tested positive for coronavirus. Just as this news got out, all these students received heavy criticism on the internet from people of all ilks. They were being severely reprimanded for travelling to Mexico on a chartered jet.

Some people on social media went really hard on them as this news didn’t bode well with the current situation of the country. North America is topping the list of affected countries with the highest number of people tested positive and a shockingly huge number of deaths.

However, some parents and students of the university came out in support of these youngsters. They implored people to not malign them. They are of an opinion, these 53 students battling Coronavirus need our sympathies and condolences.

Parents of some of the students threatened to go to the police in response to all the unnecessary castigation their kids received. They highly disapproved of the negative criticism their children drew from twitter users after this trip.

Some of the parents went too far in defending their kids and called it disinformation. They denied that their children ever took a trip to Mexico. They said, they’re in angst seeing random people lambasting their children.

Amongst so many anonymous critics, there was one well known name who didn’t feel good about the trip these 20 year olds took. Mathew MCConaughey made it clear in his video message that these students need to isolate themselves from their loved ones as it is a responsibility lying on their mature shoulders.
