Stevie Lee, Famous TNA Wrestler and American Horror Story Star, Dies at 54


Actor and pro-wrestler, Stevie Lee Richardson, passed away on Wednesday, 10th September 2020.

The announcement came from his family as they posted a GoFundMe campaign for his funeral costs. 

While they did not reveal the cause of death, they said that he “unexpectedly passed away.” According to Jacob Coyler, the organizer of the GoFundMe, Lee was at his home at the time of his death.

The GoFundMe description states, “he was beloved by many and has many friends that were family, fans that adored him, but only his brother Jim [Richardson] left to take care of final arrangements.”

Currently, the GoFundMe aims to raise $5000 to help pay for the service and burial costs.  

Lee, commonly known as ‘Puppet The Psycho Dwarf’, was highly famous in the pro-wrestling industry, being highly trained in the art of ‘Midget Wrestling’. He began his wrestling career in the early 2000s, making regular appearances in TNA specials.

Formerly called TNA, Impact Wrestling Productions issued a statement, regarding his death: 

“It is with great sadness that we learn of the passing of Stevie Lee, better known as ‘Puppet The Psycho Dwarf’ in the early days of TNA. We send our deepest condolences to his friends and family.”

In the mid-2000s, he won the WCPW Midget Championship. He took on the stage name ‘The Psycho Dwarf’ in reference to his wild and aggressive behavior on stage.

However, he gained the most fame when he starred in Jackass 3D and then, again in American Horror Story. Jackass 3D was a 2010 comedy film, famous for its extreme stunts. Lee’s character became famous when he pulled a gun on TNA wrestler Jeff Jarrett.

In American Horror Story, Lee appeared in the second and fourth seasons (Asylum and Freak Show) of the series. In season 2, he played a character stuck in the mental asylum. Many fans were impressed with his performance.

Apart from American Horror Story and Jackass 3D, Lee had small roles in many commercially successful projects, including Oz: The Great and Powerful and The Babe.

He also had his own reality show called the Half-Pint Brawlers.
