COVID-19 has taken everyone by storm in Great Britain.

People belonging in various ilks and age groups have been preyed upon. No specific group of people could make an exception as all were sailing the same boat.

Infected pregnant women are forced to let go of their newborns so that the danger does not hover over the child too. Imagine, how aching it would be for a mother to bear a child in her womb for 9 long months and then give him away as soon as he’s out.

Recently, an elementary school teacher got a call from her student’s pregnant mother who asked her to attend to her soon-to-be child. Zully is a Guatemalan asylum seeker, and she is expected to give birth to her second child. She had no one around who could be responsible for her newborn so she reached out to Luciana.

Zully couldn’t think of a person trustworthy enough to hand her newborn over to. So, she called her child’s teacher, and Luciana did not hesitate to concede to her proposal and got ready to take care of Zully’s newborn until she fully recovers from COVID-19 symptoms.

Luciana Lira talked to Zully’s husband over phone, and she got familiar with the fact that the entire family suspects to be under the attack of Coronavirus; all of them including Luciana’s student manifest the symptoms of coronavirus and until the father-son duo test negative, they want the baby to be in safe hands.
