The incident happened on Anna Green Street, Texas, where a groom was shot in the chest at his wedding by the guest.
Officers responded to the crime at around 11:26 pm Thursday. At first, they were unable to find the victim, but later they found him in the residence in critical condition.
The victim was taken away to the Memorial Hermann hospital via helicopter.
Police are trying to track down the suspect who did the shooting, but witnesses and the bride are not cooperating with them.
According to the authorities, the groom was waiting for the surgery, but he is out of danger now.
Officers have detained three people who were with the groom for the questioning, as the suspect is still on the loose, police is trying their best to find him. The motive to shoot the groom is still unknown.
According to the police, the groom and the guest must be arguing about something, which led to this incident.
Captain John Shannon, shared the video of the crime scene, where is it shown that the officers were taking the groom from the house on the stretcher, and then he was rushed to the hospital through the helicopter. He said, the investigation is still active, but witnesses are not cooperating with the officers, and it is making it difficult for them to find the motive and the suspect. Captain John also stated, three people, have been detained for questioning.
As the police were investigating, all the witnesses, including the bride were seen sitting outside the wedding house. One neighbor claimed, there were three shots, the gunshots were extremely loud.
And after the groom was shot, the bride came out screaming, “where is he? I need to find him.”
According to another neighbor witness, they saw a person in their backyard following the shooting, and they also found a hole in their backyard fence.
Authorities say, the investigation is still going on, and they are looking for the shooter. They haven’t released any further details about the incident yet.
