JUST IN: At Least 32 People Killed And Dozens More Injured As 2 Trains Derail In Deadly Head On Collision In Southern Egypt


At least 32 people have been killed with around 60 more individuals injured after two large trains collided with each other in Egypt.

Local media outlets reported how the incident took place in Egypt’s southern province of Sohag. The country’s health ministry confirmed the news, calling it the country’s worst train disaster in over 4 years.

Some of the wagons were shown to be flipped upside down, which described the seriousness of the incident. Meanwhile, bystanders carried away bodies that lay on the ground, near the accident’s site.

With investigations going on as we speak, the health ministry confirmed how around 32 people were killed with dozens injured. However, rescue officials feared more casualties and mentioned how the death toll would sadly increase as these were just the initial figures.

This incident is termed to be one of the deadliest to take place since August of 2017, where two passenger trains collided near the city of Alexandria. That incident killed more than 40 individuals while injuring scores of others.
