The Trump campaign shelled out a fee of $3 million to the Wisconsin Elections Commission to proceed with the recounts in Milwaukee and Dane counties – with the two account for roughly a quarter of the state’s population.

Wisconsin is not the only state targeted by the Trump campaign, as the latter have repeatedly claimed that widespread fraud decided the election in favor of Biden.

“Charges of unfairness are serious. But calling an election unfair does not make it so,” federal appellate Judge Stephanos Bibas wrote in an opinion piece.

Milwaukee County Clerk George Christenson find the recount’s results a way to affirm voters’ faith in the electoral process.

“The recount demonstrates what we already know: that elections in Milwaukee County are fair, transparent, accurate and secure,” he said.

The results did not dissuade Trump, who continuously claimed that the votes against him at “all other swing states” were “RIGGED”.

Dane County is expected to finish its own recount by the end of the weekend, and expected to certify its results by Tuesday.
