Twitter Bans Katie Hopkins Permanently for Violating Rules on ‘Hate Speech’


Former LBC presenter and a far-right conservative, Katie Hopkins is permanently banned by Twitter for violating rules that do not allow the promotion of hateful and abusive content on the site.

Talking to the media, the company’s spokesman said keeping Twitter safe for people is a top priority for us and we will take all measures necessary to implement it. Hateful conduct and abuse have no place on Twitter.

Miss Hopkins has previously been suspended from the social media giant quite a few times for her hateful remarks on racial hate. She is taken as a controversial figure on Twitter who President Donald Trump has mentioned in his Tweets too.

The 45-year old figure’s account was frozen for a short period when she commented in support of Tommy Robinson, the English Defense League founder. Katie has a record of backing up far-right figures on social media.

Hopkins’s career has been great as she was employed previously by The Sun and the Mail Online. She quit LBC in 2017 after making comments on the Manchester bombing. Katie Hopkins has recently criticized the Black Lives Matter movement and created a mess on Twitter by having a feud with The Manchester United star Marcus Rashford.

The footballer had started and won a successful food voucher campaign, for the distribution of free food in schools, which was backed by his colleagues, even rivalries appreciated his efforts. However, Katie Hopkins had a problem with this as well.

The reason for her suspension is not made public yet however, her account will remain open for viewers. Twitter has previously suspended other accounts for the same reasons and it gives warnings to world leaders as well including Donald Trump. However, the suspension policy exempts world politicians and leaders.

Katie Hopkins has over 60k subscribers on her Youtube channel where she regularly uploads her videos on current affairs, speeches, and opinions.
