A Woman Binned A £23 Takeaway After The Driver Tells Her About His Holidays


A woman binned a food of £23 after getting to know that the delivery boy has traveled in recent days.

The 41-year-old woman from Stoke, Staffordshire ordered fried rice, fillet Cantonese beef, and chips. The delivery driver told the lady that he had just been to Greece for holidays. The angry mom misunderstood the situation and thought the driver should be in self-isolation.

 She got conscious of the fact that the driver may have caught covid 19. The lady threw all the food in the bin out of fear. She also reported the case to Staffordshire police. Authorities confirmed that Norton China restaurant’s delivery driver had been to Greece but not to the area where self-isolation is recommended on return.

The woman whose identity is not known said she was not worried about herself.  She was cautious about the health of her child and grandma, who is in her 90’s. The woman misunderstood the situation and got angry that why the man was on duty while he should be in isolation. She discarded the food without touching because she was not ready to compromise the health of her family. The incident took place on Sunday, Oct 25.

The government has issued strict orders to avoid traveling until it is urgent. People are requested to stay indoors as the second wave of the coronavirus has hit the state. Vacations to the Uk and other places are also banned as revised, and strict lockdown rules have been introduced.
