Catherine was described by Mary as a brave and resilient woman who devoted her life to the secretive role affairs of the government. Despite being made a widow during World War II in 1950, she showed the resilience of a new kind. And that was one of the biggest reasons why seeing her leave like this was hard for many to accept.
