Tampax Facing Backlash Over Celebrating The ‘Diversity Of All People Who Bleed’ Tweet


Tampax said, ‘not all people with periods are women’ later, the tampon company has faced criticism.

Tampax posted on Twitter in the support of Transgenders and claimed that ‘not all women have periods.’

However, feminists stood up online, accusing Tampax’s owner of erasing women from their message.

Other people admired the company for inclusivity and for showing support to transgender people in their tweets.

Buck Angel, a transgender, also criticized the brand, said that the only people who get periods are biological women and transgender men.

This whole situation led to a boycott of the famous brand by women who think they were being erased by their message on Twitter.

Although, transgender groups praised the company for including other identities in their post and showing support. They said, most of the criticism towards Tampax was transphobic and said by ‘TERFs’ – trans-exclusionary radical feminists.
