Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s firstborn just turned two years old on May 6, and the family celebrated the occasion at their home in Montecito, California.
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle “splashed out on” Archie’s birthday presents even writing a sweet poem to celebrate his special day.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s son received warm wishes from people across the world on his birthday, including homemade cards from his parents, some new toys, and a birthday outfit.
“While Harry and Meghan are raising Archie to be grounded, they go the extra mile on his birthday, they made [his] card themselves and wrote a sweet poem inside, splashed out on gifts including outdoor toys, and have bought him the cutest birthday outfit!” a source told Us Weekly.
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle dropped their royal titles as posted in a message to their followers asking for people to donate charity offerings for underprivileged communities that will be used for Covid Vaccines on their son’s birthday.
“We have been deeply touched over the past two years to feel the warmth and support for our family in honor of Archie’s birthday,” Harry and Meghan said on their Archewell Foundation and Global Citizen website.
“Many of you donate to charities on his behalf and mark the occasion by giving back or doing an act of service – all through the goodness of your hearts.”
“You raise funds for those who need it most and continue to do so organically and selflessly,” the couple said. “We remain incredibly grateful.”
The statement emphasized their support for the fair distribution of coronavirus vaccines, after Harry’s appearance at Vax Live on the weekend.
The Queen also wished her great-grandson Archie Mountbatten-Windsor a happy birthday.
“Wishing Archie Mountbatten-Windsor a very happy 2nd birthday today,” a tweet from the official royal family account, accompanied by a photograph of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex with their son days after he was born.
While Prince William and Kate Middleton posted a heartwarming family portrait to their official Instagram account that shows members of the Royal Family gathered around, proud parents Prince Harry and Meghan Markle holding their newborn son at his christening.
“Wishing Archie a very happy 2nd birthday today,” the Cambridges said in the caption.
The Duke and Duchess of Cornwall, Grandpa Prince Charles also sent his best wishes on the special occasion by posting: “Happy birthday to Archie, who turns two today.”
