Cori Bush is a renowned personality who hails from the Democratic party and made the sudden comments, right after she discussed to a live audience how medical experts got rid of all of her pain, during both terms of her pregnancy period.
In addition, the congresswoman didn’t shy away from discussing the personal topic, where she started to shed light on the little details too.“I am sitting here right before you all as a single mother, as an activist, as a congresswoman, as well as a nurse.
I feel that I am committed to doing my absolute best to protect all black mothers as well as black babies. And also to protect those black birthing individuals, and to also help save lives,” she boldly revealed to Congress.
Bush’s son is named Zio and now that he’s 21 and her daughter Angel is 20, the congresswoman took this opportunity to share her personal experience on how they were both born prematurely.
Again, she took this opportunity to repeat in her gender-neutral language through a tweet how every single day, black individuals are birthing people and their babies are tragically dying because doctors just don’t seem to want to believe in their pain, any longer.”
Within no time, the representative’s terminology was quickly shot down through Twitter with many sending their criticism regarding her choice of words. “Why is she using words like birthing people instead of just saying women or moms,” questioned the majority.
“She is being so woke that she’s stripping women from their own title,” another added. And just like, the entire situation took a weird turn, putting forward a topic for debate.
