Donald Trump has reportedly sent a massive $40,000 bill to his own secret service team for using a single room at his private property in Mar-a-Lago, while they provided him with protection.
The news comes after some Federal spending records revealed the shocking claims of the former US President and how he had sent off the bill to his Secret Service team who have been with him in Mar-a-Lago, since the end of his presidency, which was January.
Moreover, the reason why the news is raising so many eyebrows is how the property is owned by Donald Trump himself, and the fact that he charged the men who were only there to protect him such a high amount was beyond believable for so many.
Donald Trump has been living at the Florida-based club ever since his leave from the White House that took place earlier this year. Therefore, that means that the club reportedly charged the team about $400 a night which comprised of a single room that the agents used while providing great protection for the Republicans.
It was the Washington Post that revealed the details of the costs that range from January 20th to the 30th of April, giving a grand total of $40,011.15. An inside source also went about detailing how the members of the security squad used the room as their workspace station.
But the actual detail of the records was released by the Secret Service squad in a response to a request granted by the public. Also, it’s not clear whether or not Trump charged the members after the end of April as they did live there with him for another week, right before they relocated with him to New Jersey for the summertime.
Trump will be spending time in New Jersey as he and his aides plan for the upcoming elections and a set of MAGA rallies that will soon take place in different states of the US.
