The House of Democrats will vote on impeaching President Trump this week as 195 lawmakers cosponsor the respective article.
According to media reports, House Majority Whip, Jim Clyburn, explained how the ‘impeachment vote will happen this week.’ In the same way, he talked about how the AOC insisted that the current US President be held accountable for the deadly MAGA riots that rocked the nation on Wednesday.
In addition, the AOC mentioned how nearly half of the House of Representatives came close to dying, as protestors attempted to storm inside the building, where a Congress session took place.
At the same time, Clyburn also confirmed how all of the articles were already drawn. Hence, it was just a matter of time before a vote was expected in the lower part of the chamber, the next day.
“I think it will probably come by Tuesday or Wednesday, but it will happen this week,’ he exclaimed.
“If we are actually the people’s House then we should do the people’s work,” he added.“Let’s vote to impeach this President!” The news came as a part of a recent breaking interview with Fox News, alongside reporter Chris Wallace.
Clyburn added how the Senate needs to first look at impeaching the president and then worry about what to do with his impeachment later.
On the other hand, representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez mentioned how half of the House was at the risk of losing their lives, in the deadly riots.
“If another president came in and ordered an attack over the nation’s Congress, would we say that they shouldn’t get prosecuted?” She added how there needs to be action taken against such incidents to prevent them from taking place in the future.
Current media sources suggested how many representatives were on board with the decision of impeaching the US president. Cortez added how every minute Trump is still in office, there is a constant threat looming over the nation.
