A mother and daughter are describing their horror after they were both reportedly kicked out of the store because the authorities felt their attire was highly inappropriate.
Chantell Humphreys alongside her daughter Isabelle was allegedly removed from a supermarket called Asda, which was situated in Broadstairs in Kent. The duo claims that the officials felt their dressing was highly inappropriate and not suitable for a family-themed supermarket like this.
Now, both mother and daughter feel it is time to fight back because their justification of being removed was not acceptable at all. In addition, they feel that the manner in which they were removed and the embarrassment it came with was just not alright.
46-year-old Chantell says that she and her 18-year-old daughter were both dressed up in cropped tops when they opted to pay a visit to Asda supermarket in Kent. However, little did they know about the rude awakening in store for them.
Upon their entry into the supermarket, they were both bashed and repeatedly insulted for what they were wearing. In addition, they were told to leave immediately due to what they were wearing inside.
The mum justified her and her daughter’s fashion sense for that day, claiming it was boiling hot and temperatures were soaring. For that reason, the mum and daughter duo couldn’t even think about wearing coats or scarves.
“They kept on telling us how they didn’t like what we were wearing and it was due to our tops that we wouldn’t be allowed inside.
” The mother and daughter yelled at how ridiculous that sounded and opted to walk out themselves. And that’s when all of a sudden, a male manager also stepped in to assure the store’s female representative stance on how their dressing was just not alright for entry.
But what really stunned the mum is how the manager had the audacity to mention that the duo’s outfits were very similar to a male that entered the store, except without his top on. “Everyone stared at us, it was so embarrassing and very sexist of them too,” she added.
Now, the mother and daughter vow to never ever visit the store again, despite being a regular customer for so many years.
