According to media reports, the 18-year-old will now live his life at a residential college as the move allows him to learn the basics of life. From living independently to learning a new set of life skills, he will do it all.
But the decision didn’t come easy for her celebrity mother Katie Price who claims it’s one of the toughest decisions she has ever made in her life.
The 42-year-old reportedly told The Sun that the decision broke her heart into pieces.Moreover, she feels guilty as she hopes and prays that her son doesn’t feel like she wanted to get rid of him.
Throughout his life, Katie raised her son Harvey alone, mostly as a single mother.
Now, she admits that it is very painful to think about breaking the bond between the two.Terming her relationship with him as incredible, the star also went on claiming how this move is the best decision for his future. And that’s because she feels it will give him the greatest chance to lead an independent life.
Other news outlets mentioned how the duo spent around 6 months searching through an array of colleges for kids with autism as well as learning disabilities. Therefore, they certainly hope Harvey can begin with their top preference in colleges.
The mum of 5 went on explaining how she feels so upset that she can’t see him every day but still, she feels this is the best decision for his growth. “This is the chance he has to live an independent life, socialize with all sorts of people, and then learn skills.”
Katie also added how this will teach him to be independent on his own, without having to rely on her all the time. Since the star will be 3 hours away and has to juggle work with her other kids, she claims it will be hard for her to visit.
