Everybody was taken aback by the traumatizing death of a black man who died of gun-shots fired by Louisiana police.
He was killed on the spot for allegedly holding a knife in a public place.
The incident took place at a Shell gas station Lafayette, Louisiana at the intersection of Northeast Evangeline Thruway and Chalmette Drive when a black man was seen with a knife at a Shell gas station.
Local authorities called the police on account of disturbance and when the cops reached they pursued the man on foot for more than a distance of half a mile.
The black man consistently abandoned the orders and kept aiming towards the convenient store entrance.
The police claim he was ordered to stop but he cast aside the orders and marched away from them.
The police tried tasering the man at first which apparently had no effect on him. It was unusual for them that the taser had no effect on the man which raised the speculations of him being a criminal.
One of the witnesses, named Rikasha Montogomery, filmed a video that was released afterward making the picture vivid.
It can be clearly seen in the video that the suspect had a knife and he was soon to enter the convenient mart of the station which was full of people.
The police warned the man beforehand and ordered him to get on the ground which he ignored. This made the suspect ambiguous and the police thought of him as a killer and a person with damaging intentions.
Just at the moment, he was to enter the gas station convenient mart, the police opened their fire, considering the life of many people in grave danger.
The video also showed that one of the people present there pleaded with the black man to get on the ground for he was afraid that the cops would otherwise shoot him.
