It’s a stupendous surprise that no homicide has been committed within the territory of Miami in the last seven weeks.
The homicidal crime rate has been reduced to 0% for the first time after 1957, and it’s totally astonishing.
Ever since the country’s been put under a strict lockdown, things have gone worse for people in North America as many of them have been fired from their jobs, deprived of their source to earn bread, coerced into staying at home all day long.
So many people have fallen into depression because they were made to follow the stay-at-home orders. Without a shadow of a doubt, It’s certainly not a great experience to stay within the confinement of four walls and wonder what it would be like to take a stroll in a garden or park.
And above all, Americans have lost more than 50,000 of their compatriots to the ungodly virus which caused all these stern restrictions. Most of the hospitals have been flooded with COVID-19 patients and the entire medical infrastructure of this country seems to be collapsing.
In the midst of all these horrific things, something nice happened. The crime rate in Miami, Florida has reached a new low. Murder was considered a run-of-the-mill kind of crime in this city, but since stay-at-home rules got implemented, homicidal crimes have completely vanished from the spot.
Yeah, you read it right. There hasn’t been a homicide in Miami since the last seven weeks, and it has happened after a very long time, hence it’s worth taking a note of. Restrictions have taken the edge off the crimes, and it is a historical moment for Miami in specific.
Something similar happened in Los Angeles and Baltimore; crime rate has slimmed down in these two cities as well. Looks like, stay-at-home orders have finally brought about something good for the Americans.
