Burglars entered a store in New York City, pulling off an extraordinary heist that’s fit for the movies.
According to news agencies, the burglars look like they took inspiration from the hit film, ‘Mission Impossible’ to carry out their planned event. The burglary allowed them to steal products worth tens of thousands of dollars from a department store situated in the Bronx area.
In the same way, authorities explained how they managed to make impeccable use of a rope to scale down from the high ceiling roof. The shocking surveillance footage revealed the mighty heist that even cops referred to as grand.
Released by the New York Police Department during the early hours of Thursday, the clip showcased a man clad in a brown-toned jacket.
Soon, you can clearly watch him make his creative Tom Cruise worthy entrance inside the pricey store, located in Fordham Heights.Police also confirmed how the entire heist took place during the late hours in the night, around 12:15 am on December 23rd.
Soon, you can see the suspect with another man, who officers claim entered via the roof. He starts to creep around towards the store’s inside on Grand Concourse, located near East 188th Street.
In the same way, the video clip shows the men break into a safe, located inside an office. And that’s when they take off with nearly $35,000 in hardcore cash, claimed the officers.
Meanwhile, cops also believe that the same suspects entered through the store via the roof, just after midnight hours, on September 24th. And that’s when they removed around $2800 from a safe.
While no one was hurt during either of the two incidents, police remain baffled on the extent of professionalism shown by the two men.
Experts explain how the heist goes on recalling the commonly spoofed up scene from Mission Impossible. And that’s when Tom Cruise as Ethan Hunt, dangles away via two cables that come from the roof. He then makes his way to hack into a personalized computer owned by the CIA.
