In one of the most gruesome racist attacks ever, a young Black girl received a massive blow to her head.
And that’s because a young white boy slammed her unconscious with a giant metal pole.
Authorities went on to reveal how 11-year-old Nevaeh Thomas was playing with friends when the rather disheartening event occurred. According to reports, the 11-year-old received the most severe injuries. And that’s when she was shifted to the hospital. Moreover, the event unfolded when the attacker, a young 12-year-old boy, started hurling abuses at her. Unbelievingly, they were related to a racial context.
Although it wasn’t directly aimed at Neveah, he did intend to provoke all the black girls at the complex’s playground in Shawnee. But as expected, Neveah couldn’t hold her emotions back. And that’s when she responded back at him.
As a response to his rather sickening taunts, she gave out a rather elegant response. And that involved her saying: ‘my black is beautiful.’ And this further aggravated the situation. Soon, the young teen left the scene. However, he did return soon.
But this time, he was carrying a giant metal pole. He horrifyingly swung the steel pole, striking Nevaeh along the way. Right before that, authorities confirmed how the teen also returned with a knife. Moreover, he threatened all the black girls in the area.
After getting hit by the massive pole, the poor black girl fell to the ground. The severity of the hit knocked her unconscious for more than three minutes. Soon, her face became filled with pools of blood and deep lacerations.
Reports confirmed how it took the family nearly two whole hours as well as countless pleas before they could shift her to the hospital. And that’s when she got nearly 8 big stitches on her cheek. Along the way, she also lost her tooth from the impact. If that wasn’t enough, she also battled a concussion too.
But that didn’t stop her from holding a press conference, just days later. There, the attack motivated her and her family members to speak out on the heinous racial crimes that haunt society.
