Keanu Reeves was called ‘ Hollywood’s wholesome man ‘ for taking his mum as his date to the 2020 Oscars, but it surprised the audience after they had been seen on the red carpet.

He took his mum to the 2020 Oscars but some fans who assumed she was his girlfriend were confused.

They made an impressive pair at the Dolby Theater in Los Angeles at the 92nd Academy Awards. Keanu looked dapper in a black tuxedo whereas his mum, 76, wore a white suit with a glamorous choker necklace.

Everything was going well until Keanu was asked to talk to Ryan Seacrest, Oscar’s red carpet TV host, as they headed into the ceremony.

His mother’s entry confused some viewers, some took Twitter to share their opinions on who was Keanu’s plus one for the event.

One audience tweeted: “Did Ryan Seacrest certainly called Keanu Reeves’s Girlfriend his Mother”?

Yep, Keanu has been dating 47-year-old visual artist Alexandra Grant for long and she is also sports white hair effect, somewhat like his mother.

However, Getty Images also misidentified Keanu’s mother with her girlfriend grant.

Later this year the 55 year old Matrix start will come back the screens later this year in Bill & Ted Face The Music. After appearing in the John Wick 3 and even Toy Story 4 in 2019 he do not have any plans for slowing down.

When his cinema peers poured onto the red carpet, Reeves arrived with his mother Patricia Taylor amongst all the glamour of the award season.

He has recently been observed shooting for The Matrix 4–the long-awaited follow-up to the iconic sci-fi franchise, set to see the actor reuniting with Carrie-Anne Moss and Jada Pinkett Smith.He is also supposed to work with some new stars, including Jessica Henwick, Neil Patrick Harris, and Yahya Abdul-Mateen II.

However, there is not much information available about the fourth film but Keanu said in an interview to Entertainment Tonight as “It’s very ambitious. As it should be!,

In 2020 along with Bill & Ted 3 Reeves will also be seen in The Songebob Movie: Spong On The Run. Well, the Matrix 4 will be released from May 21, 2021 in theaters-which is also the same day as John Wick 4’s debut.
