A black teen who was recently body-slammed by a school deputy in Floriday is reportedly suffering from memory loss.
According to media reports, the black teenager was brutally slammed to the ground after a school’s resource officer held her for arrest.
The shocking incident was also captured via a video which is now making viral rounds on social media. Here, viewers can see 16-year-old Taylor Bracey, who was a pupil at Florida’s Liberty High School, located in Kissimmee. And that’s when all of a sudden, the school deputy uses his force to body slam her to the ground, right before placing handcuffs upon her.
Local news outlets confirmed how the officer was doing his level best at breaking up a fight that involved a black teen named Bracey. But that news comes at a time when the teen’s family denies that she was ever involved in any fight, in the first place.
Meanwhile, investigators into the case identified the school deputy as officer Etha Fournier who is currently put on a paid administrative leave. And that’s until the investigations into the case proceed.
On the other hand, Bracey’s mum Jamesha explained how her daughter isn’t the same, ever since the incident took place.
Speaking for a live interview with WESH 2, she talked about how depressed she became, after the incident.“It’s almost like she is not the same person anymore. She’s not herself, she’s not Taylor. ”
In addition, her mother talked about how Bracey was knocked down to the ground, in an unconscious state.
And it’s all due to the sudden and forceful slam, she explained. In the same way, she added how she is having trouble sleeping, problems remembering. Therefore, the family is calling out for justice to be served and the officer to be charged.
They certainly feel that he should be held accountable for his wrongdoing.
The news comes when during a recent press conference, the county’s sheriff mentioned how the pupil nor the officer suffered any major injuries. He added how the officer involved had zero histories of any form of misconduct too.
